Used a buddies last year to field dress 2 deer after he used it for his, then we hung and deboned them all with the same knife which stayed shaving sharp till the end. Ordered one for myself 2 weeks ago and proceeded to drill fire boards and sticks, cut up plastic water jugs, cardboard boxes, twine, cordage, chopped veggies, used it to cut landscaping, brush, then cut up old work boots through the sole from the side and shoes from the top, basically beat it like a screen door in a hurricane; then stropped it on green for 5 minutes and it gave me knife mange (shaved me)...all I can say is DANG! If you hunt or fish, practice bushcraft, enjoy showing off, or like shaving with a knife then you had better get one, because very soon I will be ordering another for a backup. Buy the ESEE Laser strike as a companion for baton and everything else and it still weighs less than the ESEE 6 alone. The Japanese know how to make blades and Dale is the man!
