The state of Georgia is producing some great knife-makers and Allen Surls is one of them. Allen has been working for Any Roy of Fiddleback Forge Knives and is a Shop Foreman there. Allens specialty is producing fixed blade knives with hollow grinds and his preferred steel is CPM 154. He uses both synthetic and natural materials for handles on his knives. As every knife-maker should, Allen is constantly looking for ways to improve his craft so he did an apprenticeship at the Loveless Knife Shop and is now producing knives using the Loveless pattern. Watch for different knife designs to be introduced throughout the future.
It should be noted that even though Allens knives appear similar to what Andy Roy produces, they are in fact, quite different as Allen has different models, different blade grinds and uses different steels.
For those of you who collect knives, Allen is quickly establishing himself as a premier knife-maker and this is a great opportunity to "get in on the ground floor" with this young knife maker.Includes a high quality leather pouch style dangler sheath with firesteel loop. The dangler loop can be removed and the belt loop used on the back of the sheath for high ride carry.
From W. A. Surls Knives: I guarentee my work for life against any defects caused clearly by me. I cannot guarentee natural products such as wood, bone, antler, and similar from shrinking, cracking, or natural aging, nor against abuse and improper use (i.e., a knife is not a screwdriver or hammer, replacement or repair is up to WAS Knives's discretion).
