The L.T. Wright Knives Genesis has a proven track record of success and continues to be highly popular with outdoorsmen/women.
This nine inch overall convex ground bushcraft knife really likes to work. With features such as extremely durable scales and heavy duty hardware, it'll get the job done for you no matter what the circumstances. LT Wright Knives takes the time to do the little things like making sure the epoxy isn't just on the scales, but around every bit of the hardware, including the threads of the brass nut, to ensure a completely sealed scale set. Additional features are the thumb scallops on each side allowing more comfortable control doing close up work. And of course, a spine sharpened up like an ice skate so the edge is 90 degrees to allow the spine of the knife to work as hard as the edge. Whether you're getting a tinder bundle scraped off a branch or striking a ferro rod off there, that spine will allow you to save the blade for cutting tasks.
This Genesis version is made from AEB-L Stainless Steel which is gaining quite a reputation due to its great performance. EAB-1 performs much like carbon steel which is fantastic when you consider that it is stainless steel!
This knife features Red G10 handle scales with Mountain Texture. This texture provides an excellent grip without creating "hot spots".
The Genesis is not only a great purchase value but will be valued for years by providing efficient, dependable service.
A heavy duty pouch style leather dangler sheath with firesteel loop is included. The dangler can be removed so the knife can be carried in the "high ride" position if desired.
About AEB-L Stainless Steel
AEB-L is a Swedish stainless razor steel. It is a very pure, fine grained alloy (as much so as powder steels). When heat treated properly, produces very small, fine grain, which positively affects edge holding, edge stability and toughness. This steel is known for the ability to take a very fine edge. It has extremely high corrosion resistance with a medium range wear resistance making it very easy to sharpen.
