Description
The Karesuando Kniven Moose Carbon Steel is a traditional Scandinavian style outdoor knife. It is a small fixed blade knife that has a "million and one uses". This knife is great for small to medium-sized game, fishing and everyday carry. It is also suitable for whittling, carving and other fine work. It features an Oiled Curly Birch and Reindeer handle that has been hand carved to provide an incredibly comfortable grip. The Swedish 1770 carbon steel blade provides a strong cutting platform which offers excellent cutting and edge holding performance. Swedish 1770 Tool Steel is similar to the familiar 1070 carbon steel.
The blade features an internal tang that inserts well into the handle and is secured very firmly with a high grade epoxy so that it won't come loose. In fact, Karesuando offers a 10 year warranty that if the blade ever comes loose, you will get a new knife. The internal tang design is very beneficial from a weight perspective.
Since all Karesuando Kniven axes and knives are handmade, no two are exactly alike enhancing their collectability.
