The Great Eastern Cutlery Tidioute #15 Boy's Knife Crown Lifter is a classic pocket knife design and it offers a lot of practical uses. It features two blades of 1095 carbon steel, low-carbon steel liners, pins and bolsters. The two sturdy springs provide solid positioning when in the open, half-stop and closed positions. Made with pride in Titusville, PA. We are an authorized Great Eastern Cutlery Dealer and this is a new knife.
The main blade is a sheepfoot style blade which minimizes the chances of anything accidentally being pierced by the point and provides safety when in an emergency situation such as when cutting someone free from seat belts. A sheepfoot blade is very controllable, well suited to giving a clean cut while slicing and makes a great carving knife as well. The main blade has a cutting edge of 2.4" and a nail nick for opening. The blade finish is satin and "Crown Lifter" is etched on the blade along with a graphic. The secondary blade features a bottle opener with a very usable flat screw driver tip and is 1.875" long. The bottle opener/screw diver blade has a satin finish and a nail nick for opening.
The Handle Construction:
The handle scales are Antique Yellow Jig Bone and all attaching pins, liners, springs and bolster are low carbon steel. The handle scale edges are rounded and flush with the outside perimeter making the knife pleasant to hold. The fit and finish are excellent and the blade action is crisp when opening and closing.
