The Lite-Machete is a well designed tool that is capable of handling the toughest of tasks. The well made 1095 Carbon Steel blade is produced in El Salvador by Imacasa/Condor & the handle is made by ESEE Knives (RAT Cutlery)/Rowen Mfg. The handle is designed to provide a secure grip when swinging. The blade is convex ground & black coated. The natural Micarta handle slabs are removable. The maximum blade width measures 2.38" from cutting edge to spine, and the overall length of the Machete is 23.25". The overall blade length is 17.25" and the overall cutting edge is 15". Total weight is 18 ounces.

The people behind this knife developed it by experience & practical application... not theory. ESEE Knives is the only knife maker that hires full-time trainers and adventurers to develop and test their products, and conduct training in global wilderness environments.

In terms of quality and value, purchasing an ESEE Knife is a decision where you can't go wrong. Since 1997 Randall's Adventure & Training has designed no-nonsense, affordable field knives specifically targeted to military, law enforcement, and the special operations community. They have built a solid reputation. Their knives are carried by countless military personnel, law enforcement agencies, and special operations teams around the world. They have survived years of extreme use, brutal testing, and design refinement. Originally designed to withstand the toughest of harsh situations, ESEE Knives (Randall's Adventure & Training) now have a reputation that is second to none.

This ESEE Knife is made from high carbon 1095 steel. And while 1095 is a top choice for professional cutlery designed for hard use, it will rust and stain if not properly cared for - especially on the cutting edge and around the laser engraving. It is the user's responsibility to keep the blades properly lubricated and cleaned. We suggest using a dry film rust inhibitor such as Sentry Solutions MARINE TUF-CLOTH.

With the exception of the Lite Machete blade, all ESEE branded knives are manufactured in Idaho Falls, Idaho by Rowen Manufacturing. The Cordura MOLLE backs are sewn in Mexico. Izula gear sewn goods are made in Knoxville, TN.
