I spent a good deal of time looking for a large camp/chopper, and after a lot of review and research decided to go with the Junglas 2...initially I thought it might be a bit too large for my needs, but once it arrived and I began to use it all those concerns disappeared. Great balance and quick for a large knife, wicked sharp out of the box, easy to use for finer cuts and chops/batons like a beast. I opted for the G10 TKC handles, as the standard ESEE handles felt too flat and squared off to me. Love this blade! Great customer service ( Dale even responded to an email on a weekend), fast free shipping, great price and the ESEE sheath is amazing--well worth the $ and rock solid. Whats not to love? If you are on the fence, jump on down--this is a great deal on a fantastic knife.
This is a very well balanced knife. Feels like a smaller knife and chops better than a small hatchet. The sheath is top shelf and allows for many options.
just got the Junglas II (not from KnifeConnection-they were sold out) and it's a great knife. I own the original Junglas and although it's really good, I always wanted to see it shorter. Seems like Esee guys were reading my mind. It's exactly want I wanted and couldn't be more satisfied. While the original full size Junglas approaches the length of short machete, the Junglas II feels more like a large knife. Esee's quality fit/finish is extremely precise and beats much more expensive knives. Not an exaggeration. just another awesome Esee added to my collection!
First run of the Junglas II is a winner!!! I did not want a chopper as large as the original Junglas. The new model is a quarter pound lighter.

The Knife:
Chops and batons with ease. And can also do finer tasks well. I got the TKC G10 handle scales (sorry, but TCK informed me that this model will not be in the knife builder section). But I purchased the G10 scales anyway. It is so comfortable and looks fantastic!!! This knife will hold its own against Beckers and RAT knives and fills a gap in may knife makers product lines. Well done, ESEE !

Sheath:
The kydex sheath is custom fit for the Junglas II. Esee did it right and did not just drop it into the current, longer, Junglas sheath.

It's a winner! Get one, you won't regret it.
Nuff said.
